Eclectic Bachelor Pad
Color was the main request that this client asked for when this successful bachelor decided to re-design
his 1908 Edwardian Flat.  Hermogeno Designs brought color and high end touches to the basic white
walls that created a timeless and elegant feel with touches of modern design elements.   Finishes that
include the living room's faux leather ceiling and the 42" wide black crystal chandelier in the dining room
tied in with furniture in walnut and cherry and fabrics of velvet, leather and even recycled polyester made
the home's interior a unique space to show off.
Project Details:
  • 1908 Eduardian Flat
  • Approx. 1,100 square feet
  • 1 occupant
  • The designer wanted to retain the historical elements while updating the interior for today’s,
lifestyle.  The client also wanted spaces that would be elegant and formal for dinner parties,
contemporary and “loungie” for cocktail parties but could also feel cozy for TV viewing by one or
two.  Using all these key points, the designer deconstructed the modern day bachelor to create a
sophisticated design concept that transformed a “pad” into a personal gentlemen’s club.  And
“all things gentlemen” was the basis for color, fabric, furniture and finish material choices.
